Nepal Government unveils budget inclusive of Sexual and Gender Minorities for the first time in Nepal's history

237:  The state will accord special priority to solve the core problems of Nepali people relating to sexual and gender minorities and a common house for 50 people will be provisioned to live together for their socialization.
.This very symbolic but very positive change of not just attitudes but also helping marginalized and oppressed sexual and gender minorities towards mainstreaming to the development and social/political change.

Mr. Pink: A Ray of Hope- Lesbian/Transgender Talent Show

Female-to-male transgender issues, HIV Awareness, and Global Warming were the timely issues brought stunningly to the public eye at this spectacular and groundbreaking event sponsored by the Federation of Sexual and Gender Minorities of Nepal. The elegant, new Rastriya Naachghar Performing Arts Center was the ideal venue to house an estimated 700 guests, which included press, volunteers, local VIPS and a large, enthusiastic crowd of supporters. pink here

Sexual and Gender Minorities meet Prime Minister

Representatives of sexual and gender minorities met Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal today at the party office of Nepal Communist Party (UML), Balkhu. The community members shared their problems, the implementation status of the Supreme Court’s 2007 decision  and citizenship for sexual and gender minorities as per their gender identity. pink here

Third gender women get security guard training

15 transgender women just completed the one month of security guard training organized by Blue Diamond Society, Kathmandu with the support of European Union. The aim of the training is to empower the sexual and gender minorities through capacity building program which Blue Diamond Society has been doing since its establishment. pink here
